Electric scooters remain at the heart of Le Tech. Our bike section brings the same transparent approach: understand the product, separate manufacturer claims from ride evidence, and choose equipment that suits your terrain.
What will you use your bike for?
Electric mountain bikes: our first focus
Tracks, recreational off-road rides, trails and mountains. Our opening guides explain suspension, motors and battery capacity in the context of your terrain.
Urban e-bikes
For commuting and errands, start with riding position, lights, mudguards, locks and a rack. Coverage will grow as useful material becomes available.
Trekking and all-round bikes
For a mix of tarmac and easy tracks, check tyres, mounting points, permitted system weight and comfort when carrying luggage.
Folding e-bikes
For train journeys and small storage spaces, measure the folded dimensions and lift the bike. Weight matters when the motor cannot help you carry it.

These will appear when we have actual bikes to ride. There are no published Le Tech bike ride tests at launch.
How Le Tech approaches electric bikes
Make the evidence level clear
An editorial selection assesses specifications, observed prices and equipment. “Tested by Le Tech” will be reserved for a bike we have actually ridden, with a documented protocol.
Keep range figures in context
A manufacturer range claim remains a claim. Our ride tests will separately report measured distance, climbing, rider and luggage weight, assist modes, temperature and tyres.
Disclose the commercial context
A loan, a supplied product or a Le Tech purchase will be identified in the review. Official, retailer and affiliate links will be labelled. There are currently no bicycle affiliate links in this section.
Retain editorial control
The analysis and conclusions belong to the publication. Supplying a bike does not secure a positive verdict. Corrections and updates must reflect new, verified information.
